[05-13-2023] Man Struck and Killed by Two Vehicles in San JoseA 36-year-old man was struck and killed by two vehicles in San Jose late Saturday night, May 13, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash occurred at about 11:45 p.m. on U.S. Highway 101 at Tully Road.

The male San Jose resident was reportedly driving a truck for Alongi Brothers Towing on northbound 101 and made a stop on the right shoulder just north of Tully Road.

The man exited the truck, walked behind it, then into the traffic lanes to get something. However, the white Toyota Rav4 struck him and sent him into the #4 lane, where he was hit again by a second vehicle.

A big-rig truck then pulled over and blocked the body until CHP officers arrived. The deceased’s identity has not been revealed.

Investigations into the crash are still ongoing. The CHP is looking for the driver of the white Toyota Rav4 that hit the man first. The authorities believe the vehicle was manufactured around 2010 and is a base model.
