[05-14-2022] Fresno County, CA - One Woman Killed, 32-Year-Old Man Severely Injured in Fatal Head-On Crash on Clovis AvenueOne unidentified woman was killed, and a 32-year-old Visalia man was injured in a fatal two-vehicle collision in Fresno County on Saturday, May 14, 2022.

The crash occurred on a Saturday in the number one lane on Clovis Avenue.

A head-on collision occurred when the two vehicles approached each other in the northbound number one lane.

The 32-year-old Visalia man, identified as Ramon V., was driving a Toyota Rav-4 northbound on Clovis Avenue at an unknown speed.

The Nissan flipped over and came to a partial stop in the first lane and center divider.

The Toyota Rav-4 flipped over and came to a halt in the first lane.

The Nissan driver died as a result of her injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. She may not have been wearing her seatbelt. Vasquez, the driver of the Toyota Rav-4, was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident, but he suffered major injuries as a result of the severity of the impact and was taken to Clovis Regional Medical Center.

The toxicology results from the Coroner’s Office will determine whether alcohol or drugs were a factor in this collision.
