Three people were killed following a deadly crash involving a suspected DUI driver near the San Diego (405) Freeway on Saturday night, May 14, 2022.
The deadly traffic collision transpired at approximately 11:59 p.m. on the Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway, just west of the San Diego (405) Freeway.
A Glendale man driving a Mercedes coupe collided with a Mercedes sedan stopped in the far right lane of the southbound 405 changeover road.
The sedan crashed into a wall and caught fire, while the Glendale man’s coupe blocked both lanes on the 118 Freeway.
Three people were killed in the mishap. They were pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, one person was rushed to an area hospital for treatment.
Local authorities are further investigating the cause of the accident. They suspect that DUI may have been a factor in the accident.
