[05-14-2023] Unidentified Pedestrian Suffered Severe Injuries Following Hit-And-Run Collision in WestlakeAn unidentified pedestrian suffered severe injuries following a hit-and-run crash in Westlake, Los Angeles, on Sunday evening, May 14, 2023.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, just before 8:00 p.m., an unidentified pedestrian crossed 3rd Street and Westlake Avenue in the Westlake neighborhood when a gray 2007–2010 Toyota Camry struck him from behind.

Authorities stated that a speeding compact car struck the man, causing him to turn his vehicle over before crashing into the pavement. After striking the victim, the driver continued west on 3rd Street, then turned north onto Alvarado Street.

Officials added that the victim was transported to a local hospital with severe but non-life-threatening injuries. He is expected to make a complete recovery.

A reward of up to $25,000 is offered for information leading to the driver’s identification, apprehension, conviction, or civil compromise.
