[05-14-2023] One Person Killed Following Two-Vehicle Head-on Crash in WinchesterAt least one person was killed following a two-vehicle head-on crash in Winchester, Riverside County, on Sunday evening, May 14, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle collision occurred around 5:10 p.m. on State Route 79 at Scott Road and Washington Street.

Authorities stated that a person was temporarily trapped in the wreckage of one of the vehicles. There was no immediate information on the deceased’s age or gender.

The person’s identity will be withheld until the next of kin is notified. There were no other injuries reported at the time.

The investigation is ongoing.
