A two-vehicle crash north of Moreno Valley killed one driver and injured another on Tuesday, May 17, 2022.

[05-17-2022] Riverside County, CA - Two-Vehicle Crash Near Moreno Valley Results in One Fatality and One InjuryAccording to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal collision occurred around 1:30 p.m. on San Timoteo Canyon Road, just west of Redlands Boulevard, roughly halfway between Moreno Valley and Redlands.

According to the agency, a Toyota Camry and another sedan collided at the scene, though the circumstances were unknown.

Within minutes, Riverside County Fire Department crews arrived and pronounced one motorist dead on the scene.

Officials said the other driver was taken to Riverside University Medical Center in Moreno Valley for minor injuries.

The CHP conducted a preliminary investigation, and the wreckage was removed from both sides of San Timoteo Canyon between Live Oak Canyon Road to the north and Redlands Boulevard to the south until about 4:00 p.m.
