[05-18-2023] Monterey County, CA – Mother and Child Injured Following Single-Vehicle DUI Crash In Marina

A mother and her child were injured following a single-vehicle DUI crash in Marina early Thursday morning, May 18, 2023.

According to the Marina Police Department, the crash happened around 5:23 a.m. between Reservation Road and Dunes Drive.

The 33-year-old driver, Kelly R., reportedly struck a closed gate at Marina State Beach. She and her 6-year-old child sustained minor injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital.

Rolston was found to have been intoxicated while driving, and she was charged with DUI, child endangerment, and violation of probation. She was booked into the Monterey County Jail afterward.
