[05-18-2023] One Person Hospitalized After Two-Vehicle Collision near Alta MesaOne person was hospitalized after a two-vehicle collision near Alta Mesa in Santa Barbara on Thursday, May 18, 2023.

According to the Santa Barbara Police Department, the crash involving a car and a service truck occurred on the side of the road on Kenwood and Carrillo.

The car reportedly turned left from Kenwood towards Carillo downtown when it collided with a mission linen and uniform service truck, causing it to crash into a ditch.

One person was injured and was taken to Cottage Hospital for treatment. The extent of the injury sustained, and the vehicle’s damage is unknown.

The car was towed and pulled out of the ditch, but Santa Barbara Police vehicles remained in the area, blocking the intersection.

Investigations into the crash are still ongoing.
