[05-18-2023] Tulare County, CA – One Driver Killed Following Multi-Vehicle Fiery Crash Involving Big Rig Near Porterville

One driver was killed following a multi-vehicle crash near Porterville early Thursday morning, May 18, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash happened around 5:05 a.m. on Avenue 56, near Road 168.

A 61-year-old Chevrolet driver named Antonio B. was driving behind a big rig driven by a 59-year-old named Rodolfo Z. when a 39-year-old Honda driver collided with the Chevrolet.

Barietagonzalez exited the vehicle by himself before it caught fire, while the female driver of the Honda got trapped and was later declared dead at the scene.

The big rig driver was not reported to have sustained any injuries. Authorities are investigating the fatal crash.
