According to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, the car overturned at around 10:00 p.m. at Northgate Boulevard.

The chase began when the driver fled a traffic stop for a traffic violation. The vehicle traveled at high speed, causing it to overturn.

Two people were in the car, and both sustained minor injuries or complained of pain. Once medically cleared, the driver will be booked into jail.

The traffic on westbound Interstate 80 was blocked for a short time due to the crash.
