A woman was hospitalized, and a child suffered severe injuries[05-20-2023] Woman Hospitalized, Child Severely Injured After DUI Crash on State Route 37 in Vallejo after a DUI car crash in Vallejo on Saturday afternoon, May 20, 2023.

The California Highway Patrol said the accident occurred at 2:45 p.m. on State Route 37 in Vallejo.

According to the report, a collision occurred between a white Honda in the left lane near Fairgrounds Drive and a Jaguar in the adjacent lane. The impact caused the Honda to overturn, resulting in the ejection of a child who was a passenger in the vehicle.

The child was placed in a car seat but inadequately secured within the vehicle. Consequently, the child and the driver of the Honda were transported to the hospital for medical treatment.

The driver of the Honda, identified as a woman, was subsequently arrested on charges of driving under the influence.

The driver of the Jaguar did not sustain any injuries.
