[05-21-2022] Riverside County, CA – Two People Severely Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash in Mecca

Two people were sent to the hospital with serious injuries after a head-on collision in Mecca Saturday morning, May 21, 2022.

According to the Riverside County Fire Department, the crash occurred at 6:03 a.m. on Highway 86 south of Avenue 62.

According to the California Highway Patrol, two Ford F-150 pickup trucks were involved in the crash.

According to fire officials, firefighters had to free both of the injured people from the wreckage before they were taken to the hospital, one by ground ambulance and the other by air ambulance.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is still investigating the crash.
