[05-22-2025] Los Angeles County, CA – One Trapped After Wrong-Way Multi-Vehicle Crash on 10 Freeway Near Baldwin Avenue

One person was injured and trapped following a three-vehicle crash caused by a wrong-way driver on the 10 Freeway in El Monte early Thursday morning, May 22, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at approximately 3:06 a.m. near the Baldwin Avenue off-ramp on the eastbound side of the freeway.

Investigators said a black Honda sedan was traveling in the wrong direction when it collided with a white vehicle, sparking a multi-vehicle crash.

Emergency crews from the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded and extricated the driver of the Honda, who had been trapped inside the vehicle. He was transported to a local hospital in an unknown condition.

Authorities temporarily closed the Baldwin Avenue off-ramp while they investigated the crash. No further details were immediately available.
