[05-23-2023] Monterey County, CA – Two People Killed Following Multi-Vehicle Crash Along Highway 1

Two people were killed following a multi-vehicle crash along Highway 1, Monterey County, on Tuesday afternoon, May 23, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash happened around 12:37 p.m. on southbound Highway 1, north of Castroville and south of Molera Road.

Two people were confirmed to be dead. The number of people involved or the extent of injuries sustained have still not been determined.

The authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fatal crash.
