[05-24-2023] Contra Costa County, CA – Two People Injured After Multi-Vehicle Collision in Glorietta, Orinda

Two people were injured following a multi-vehicle collision in the community of Glorietta in the city of Orinda on Wednesday afternoon, May 24, 2023.

According to the officers from adjacent jurisdictions, the incident occurred on Rheem Boulevard at around 1:10 p.m.

A car was found on its side after hitting a pole at an intersection. The first victim, driving a Volvo, struck another vehicle, a Tesla, before running off the road into the ditch.

The young woman victim sustained serious injuries and required life-saving measures to be taken, while the Tesla driver sustained minor injuries.

It is uncertain whether drugs or alcohol played a part in this incident.
