[05-24-2023] Male Pedestrian Injured Following DUI Two-Vehicle Collision in NewhallA pedestrian was injured in a DUI collision in Santa Clarita on Wednesday evening, May 24, 2023.

Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s officials said that the incident occurred at a Chevron Gas Station on the 20500 block of Newhall Avenue at around 8:00 p.m.

According to Deputy Natalie A., the victim was putting air in his vehicle’s tire when Andres M., 32 years old, in a white Ford F-150, backed up into the victim’s
vehicle, which caused the victim to be struck by his own car.

The victim had to be brought to the local hospital due to his injuries. He survived the ordeal with non-fatal injuries.

The suspect was found to be under the influence and was arrested for felony DUI with injury.
