[05-25-2023] Unidentified Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle in El MonteAn unidentified pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in El Monte late Thursday evening, May 25, 2023.

The El Monte Police Department and Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to a pedestrian-involved traffic collision in the 12100 block of Valley Boulevard shortly after 11:30 p.m.

Authorities reported that officers and firefighters discovered a body lying in the center of the street when they arrived at the scene. The victim was declared dead shortly after.

Officials have not released other information about the crash or the victim. It is uncertain whether the crash vehicle remained at the scene or fled.

The investigation into the crash continues, and anyone with information is asked to contact authorities immediately.
