[05-26-2022] Los Angeles County, CA - Fiery Multi-Vehicle Crash in Long Beach Results in at Least One DeathOne person was killed in a fiery multi-vehicle crash involving a big rig killed in Long Beach on Thursday, May 26, 2022.

Officers from the California Highway Patrol were dispatched at 3:02 a.m. to the North Long Beach Boulevard off-ramp and the southbound Long Beach (710) Freeway.

According to CHP Officer Patrick Kimball, the officials discovered three vehicles in the freeway’s middle lanes, including a white Toyota Tundra and a white sedan.

After colliding with the big rig, one of the vehicles caught fire, and one person was possibly trapped inside one of the vehicles.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

All lanes of the freeway were closed due to the collision for several hours.

The cause of the crash, according to Kimball, remains under investigation.
