[05-26-2023] Man Severely Injured After Moped vs. Vehicle Crash in El CentroA man was severely injured after a moped and car crashed in El Centro on Friday morning, May 26, 2023.

According to the local authorities, the incident occurred at about 10:43 a.m. at 6th and Heil in El Centro.

The report said the moped rider suffered serious injuries and was transported to El Centro Regional Medical Center. From there, the individual was airlifted to Desert Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Fortunately, the car driver involved in the incident did not sustain any injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
