[05-26-2023] One Person Killed Following Pedestrian or Bicyclist vs. Car Collision in Santa PaulaA pedestrian or bicyclist was killed in a collision in Santa Paula on Friday evening, May 26, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred on the westbound lanes of Highway 126 at 10th Street around 8:20 p.m.

The Ventura County Fire Department reported that it was possibly a Dodge Charger that struck the pedestrian or bicyclist. Officials from the CHP have not yet confirmed those details.

The victim was found dead upon the VCFD officers’ arrival.

It is unclear whether drugs or alcohol contributed to the incident.
