[05-27-2022] Riverside County, CA – One Pedestrian Killed in Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash in Palm Springs

The male pedestrian was killed in a fatal hit-and-run crash on the shoulder of a Palm Springs road early Friday morning, May 27, 2022.

The crash occurred around 6:40 a.m. near East Palm Canyon and South Broadmoor drives.

The Palm Springs Police Department said it received multiple reports of a person lying on a dirt shoulder near East Palm Canyon and South Broadmoor drives starting around 6:40 a.m.

According to police, when officers arrived, they discovered the male pedestrian had died.

According to preliminary investigation, he was the victim of a hit-and-run vehicle collision.

The crash remains under investigation.
