According to the Berkeley Police Department, the crash happened around 8:35 p.m. between Sacramento Street and Stuart Street.

The elderly bicyclist was northbound on Sacramento St. when he got hit by a driver making a U-turn at Stuart St.

The victim suffered a head injury and was taken to Highland Hospital, while the driver was left unharmed.

Reports say the bicyclist made his way on the wrong street side without a headlight or helmet. Authorities are investigating the crash along with the driver.
