According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash happened around 11:15 p.m. along State Route 4 near Pittsburg.

A Harley-Davidson motorcycle rider got ejected from his vehicle after hitting the back of a Kia Optima.

The motorcyclist was declared dead at the scene, while the Kia driver did not sustain any injuries.

No further information was released by the authorities.
