[05-27-2023] Monterey County, CA – Three Injured After Two-Vehicle Collision Involving Police Vehicle in Castroville

Three were injured in a two-vehicle collision, including a police vehicle, in Castroville, Monterey County, on Saturday afternoon, May 27, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred on Castroville Boulevard near Highway 156 at around 2:01 p.m.

Officers of the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office were responding to a call about a shooting when Deputy collided with another vehicle.

The occupants of the civilian vehicle were rushed to a nearby hospital while the deputy was taken to Natividad Medical Center.
