[05-29-2022] Sacramento County, CA - One Person Killed, Two Children Injured in Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash Near Sherman IslandThe 38-year-old man that died following a fatal head-on crash near Sherman Island last Sunday night has been identified by authorities this Monday.

The 38-year-old man was identified as Aaron P. from San Ramon. Authorities determined that he was under the influence at the time of the accident.

Witnesses claim that the 38-year-old man was driving recklessly prior to the crash. He was also not wearing a seatbelt.

Details about the accident is limited at the moment. The case is still under further investigation by local authorities.

According to authorities, one person was killed, and at least two young children were injured in a head-on collision in the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta on Sunday night, May 29, 2022.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the officials responded to the crash near Highway 160 and Sherman Island.

Officers say one person was pronounced dead at the scene.

In addition, two children were critically injured in the crash.

Both children were flown to local hospitals, one to Children’s Hospital in Oakland and the other to the University of California, Davis Medical Center.
