[05-29-2023] Butte County, CA – Unidentified Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle in Chico

An unidentified pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in South Chico late Monday evening, May 29, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just before midnight on Highway 99 at Southgate Avenue.

Authorities stated that the victim was struck in the southbound lanes and later declared dead due to their injuries.
