[05-29-2023] Riverside County, CA – Woman Hospitalized After Two-Vehicle Collision in Lake Elsinore

A woman was hospitalized after a two-vehicle collision in unincorporated Lake Elsinore on Monday evening, May 29, 2023.

According to the Riverside County Fire Department and California Highway Patrol, they received reports regarding the crash on the 34400 block of Ortega Highway at Rocky Road at 8:30 p.m.

A woman was trapped in the wreckage and needed to be extricated after a vehicle and an SUV collided. Firefighters utilized hydraulic tools to free the woman. They called an air ambulance and airlifted her to the hospital.

Both vehicles sustained significant damage. Further details regarding the crash were not immediately available.

The authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash.
