[05-30-2022] Fresno County, CA - Fatal Car Accident at South and Cherry Avenue Results in One DeathOne unidentified person was killed after a deadly two-vehicle crash in South and Cherry Avenue on Monday evening, May 30, 2022.

The major collision transpired at approximately 5:00 p.m. in the area of South and Cherry Avenue.

A Mitsubishi pickup truck and a Hyundai Elantra collided at the intersection for unclear reasons. The circumstances leading up to the accident have not been established.

Both vehicles were found disabled on the roadway with significant damage. According to the initial investigation, both drivers drove through the intersection at the same time which caused the collision to occur.

Emergency personnel later arrived at the scene and helped the involved parties. Unfortunately, a passenger inside the pickup truck was pronounced dead at the scene.

It’s uncleat whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the collision. Local authorities are further investigating the case.
