[05-30-2023] Ventura County, CA – Two People Injured After Two-Vehicle Head-On Collision in Camarillo

Two people were injured, one with major and one with minor injuries, following a two-vehicle head-on collision in Camarillo on Tuesday evening, May 30, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred on the 188 freeway near Walnut Avenue at around 8:45 p.m.

Timothy W., 60, was driving his 2004 Saturn when he tried to pass another vehicle. He was unsuccessful in overtaking, causing him to collide head-on with Jose R., the driver of a 2002 Saturn.

Rosas sustained major injuries and was rushed to the Los Robles Medical Center, while Wells sustained minor injuries and was taken to St. John’s Pleasant Valley Hospital.

Drugs or alcohol are believed not to have been a factor in this incident.
