[05-31-2022] Alameda County, CA - One Woman Killed, Passenger Injured in Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash in San LeandroAccording to San Leandro police, a fatal crash killed the driver of a car and sent a passenger to the hospital on Tuesday afternoon, May 31, 2022.

According to the San Leandro Police Department, officers responded at 4:10 p.m. in the area of Eden Road and Doolittle Drive, just east of the Oakland International Airport.

The collision reportedly involved a car and a big-rig truck.

Officers arrived to find the car’s driver unresponsive, and she died at the scene.

Her car’s passenger was taken to a nearby hospital and is expected to survive.

According to a preliminary investigation by the police, speed was a factor in the collision.

The police further reported that the truck driver was unharmed and remained at the scene to assist with the investigation.
