[05-31-2022] Orange County, CA - Deadly Pedestrian Accident in Santa Ana Results in One DeathOne unidentified person was killed following a deadly pedestrian accident in Santa Ana on Tuesday night, May 31, 2022.

The accident happened at approximately 9:12 p.m. in the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 Freeway, just north of 17th Street.

A blue Subaru Outback struck the pedestrian in the southbound lanes for unclear reasons. Unfortunately, the pedestrian was killed in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Subaru driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. No other injuries were reported.

Local authorities are further investigating the case. It’s unclear whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the fatal crash.
