[05-31-2025] Santa Clara County, CA – Stanford Student Fatally Struck While Riding E-Bike Near Palm Drive and Arboretum Road

A Stanford University undergraduate student was killed after being struck by a vehicle while riding an electric bike in Santa Clara County on Saturday morning, May 31, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened around 2:57 a.m. near the intersection of Palm Drive and Arboretum Road. A Honda Accord collided with a Tuttio Adria E-bike, which the student was riding.

The student, identified by the university as Aradshar C., was transported to Stanford Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities said the driver of the Honda remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement. No arrests were made, and drugs or alcohol were not involved.

The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
