Apartment Complex Fire Statistics

From 2015 to 2019, the United States saw 346,800 house fires per year. Every year, fires claim the lives of 2,620 individuals, injure 11,070, and cause $7.3 billion in direct property damage.

Home fires are a common problem in California, posing a serious risk to inhabitants’ health and safety.

Both commercial and residential property owners have a responsibility to protect the safety of guests and customers. Negligent behavior is displayed by property owners who neglect to keep their properties safe.

For example, if someone is hurt in an accident caused by someone else’s property, the owner or operator of that property could be held responsible.

Inquire about fire extinguishers and other safety measures in your new property before moving in. Electrical outlets and wiring should also be checked for smoke alarms. Always ensure that your appliances are in good operating order and properly maintained.
