At least two people were hurt following a major two-vehicle traffic crash in Fairfield on Wednesday night, June 1, 2022.
According to the initial reports from local authorities, the accident happened on Highway 12 at around 9:00 p.m.
Two vehicles collided on the roadway for unclear reasons. The circumstances leading up to the accident have not been established.
One of the vehicles was heavily damaged, and firefighters had to extricate one of the drivers from the wreckage.
Two people were rushed to an area hospital after sustaining minor to moderate injuries. Their identities have not been disclosed.
Local authorities are further investigating the case.
