[06-01-2023] Multiple People Fell Ill After Being Exposed to Contaminated Package in UkiahMultiple people fell ill after being exposed to a contaminated package in Ukiah on Thursday afternoon, June 01, 2023.

According to the Ukiah Valley Fire Authority, the incident happened around 4:00 p.m. at Adventist Health along 260 Hospital Drive.

Six employees of Adventist Health reportedly felt dizziness, throat irritation, and lightheadedness. They were immediately treated at the scene.

The authorities cleared two potentially contaminated suites and an area of the clinic’s emergency room for traces of any chemicals but could not detect any.

The clinic has not provided any official statement on how the contaminated package arrived in the area.
