[06-01-2023] Santa Clara County, CA – 2 Pedestrians Killed, 1 Injured Following Hit-and-Run Collision in San Jose

Two pedestrians were killed, and one was injured after a hit-and-run in San Jose on Thursday afternoon, June 1, 2023.

According to the San Jose Police Department, the incident started at the shopping center parking lot in the 1800 block of Hillsdale Avenue. It ended in the area of Santa Clara and 16th Streets that afternoon.

While fleeing the parking lot, the suspect, who has been on the run since carjacking and stabbing a person, struck a pedestrian. The suspect was found near Santa Clara and 16th Streets, where he struck and killed two pedestrians.

The first victim did not sustain life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby medical center. Unfortunately, the second and third victims could not survive their injuries.
