[06-03-2023] Sacramento County, CA – At Least One Person Killed Following Two-Vehicle Collision Involving Semi-Truck in Galt

At least one person was killed following a two-vehicle crash in Galt on Saturday afternoon, June 3, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened just before 5:30 p.m. near Liberty Road.

It appears that a semi-truck and a sedan were involved in the collision on Galt’s C Street, according to authorities who stated that it is uncertain what caused the crash. Officials added that eventually, the vehicles stopped in the southbound lanes of Interstate 99.

The authorities have not released additional information regarding the collision and possible casualties. It is unknown whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
