[06-03-2023] San Luis Obispo County, CA – 52-Year-Old Female Motorcyclist Killed, Another Injured Following Collision on Highway 58 in Santa Margarita

A motorcyclist was killed while another was injured after a collision in Santa Margarita, San Luis Obispo County, on Saturday afternoon, June 3, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on Highway 58 north of West Pozo Road at around 1:46 p.m.

Peggy M., in her 2007 Harley Davidson Softail motorcycle, was driving southbound on the highway but somehow ended on the northbound and right in the path of Danny O., driver of a Ford Raptor, who was going 35 mph.

Masuda was rushed to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center but died from her injuries. Oster sustained minor injuries, but he denied transport to a medical center.

Drugs or alcohol are not suspected to have been a factor in this accident, according to CHP officers.
