One unidentified man was killed after getting ejected following a deadly traffic crash in Bakersfield on early Saturday morning, June 4, 2022.
The fatal traffic accident occurred at approximately 1:20 a.m. on State Route 119 at Airport Road in Bakersfield.
A 22-year-old man was traveling eastbound on State Route 119 at an unknown speed while a northbound tractor-trailer was traveling on Airport Road.
As the tractor-trailer turned left onto State Route 119, the 22-year-old driver tried to pass a sedan in front of him. As the 22-year-old passed the sedan, he struck the left rear portion of the tractor-trailer.
Due to the severity of the impact, the 22-year-old man was ejected from his vehicle. He was killed in the mishap.
It’s unclear whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision. Local authorities are further investigating the case.
