[06-04-2023] 2 Teenage Girls Injured After Solo-Vehicle Crash with Tree South of Tres PinosTwo teenagers were injured after losing control of their vehicle and crashing into a tree, coming to rest on its roof just south of Tres Pinos, San Benito County, on Sunday morning, June 4, 2023.

The California Highway Patrol reported that the incident occurred on northbound Highway 25 at around 9:25 a.m.

According to CHP officer Alfredo U., a 15-year-old Kingsburg resident was driving her Kia Soul at high speeds when she lost control, went off-road, and hit a tree.

Her passenger, a 16-year-old also from Kingsburg, was ejected from the Kia on collision. The vehicle’s engine was also ejected.

The passenger sustained serious injuries and was immediately transported to the nearest medical center. The driver also sustained injuries but not as severe.
