[06-07-2023] Butte County, CA – Motorcycle Vs. Vehicle Crash in Chico Leaves Two People Injured

Two people were injured after a collision between a motorcycle and a pickup truck in Chico on Wednesday afternoon, June 7, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, at around 3:30 p.m., a Ford pickup truck was traveling southbound on Highway 99 when the driver attempted a lane switch and collided with a motorcycle heading southbound as well.

Authorities reported that the rear left of the pickup truck collided with the motorcyclist, who was then ejected from the bike and transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

Officials added that the pickup driver suffered minor injuries, and their vehicle sustained minor damage.

No other details were released, and the CHP does not believe drugs or alcohol played a factor in this collision.
