[06-07-2023] Los Angeles County, CA – One Worker Killed, Another Hospitalized After Concrete Wall Collapsed in Pacoima

One worker was killed, and another was hospitalized after a concrete wall on a construction site collapsed in Pacoima, Los Angeles, on Wednesday morning, June 7, 2023.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, firefighters were sent to the 10500 block of Glenoaks Boulevard at about 8:50 a.m.

The Los Angeles Fire Department stated that upon arrival, a fallen cinder block wall had confined one construction worker and injured another.

One patient with back pain was transported to the hospital, while the second worker, whose name could not be immediately determined, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Los Angeles Police Department and Cal-OSHA were notified, and an investigation was underway to determine the cause of the fatality.
