[06-07-2023] Female Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck by Vehicle on Highway 99A female pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Sacramento on Wednesday evening, June 7, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the woman was driving southbound on 99 around 10:07 p.m. when her car had a flat tire north of Elkhorn Boulevard.

Authorities stated that while another vehicle was traveling down the highway, the woman crossed into another lane and was fatally struck. Officials said the vehicle driver who struck the woman stopped and waited for police to arrive.

No further details, including the victim’s identity, were disclosed. The police have no suspicion that alcohol or drugs played a role in the incident.

The investigation into the crash is still ongoing, and anyone with information is requested to contact police as soon as possible.
