Fatal Car Crash Statistics

Single-vehicle collisions are among the most lethal on California’s roads, but many drivers are unaware of this.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), 62% of fatal car accidents in California involve just one vehicle. If you’re a driver in California, you need to be aware of the various factors in a single-vehicle accident.

If you’re involved in a single-vehicle collision, there are a number of possible causes. Single-car accidents are common on wet or icy roads when the driver loses control of their vehicle while speeding or making sharp turns. Another common type of roadside litter is large branches and truck bed debris.

Your insurance policy’s comprehensive coverage plan is likely to limit your compensation in the event of an accident caused by an unexpected occurrence, such as an animal jumping in front of your vehicle.

Solano County Car Accident Lawyers

It’s common for car accident victims to be forced out of work or school as a result of their injuries. Even if a victim dies as a result of the reckless driving of another driver, the negligent party is still held accountable. Victims’ surviving family members (or legal heirs) have the right to sue the driver who killed them because of their negligence.

They find it extremely difficult to go through this procedure. In depositions and trials, victims are required to testify in front of strangers about the harm they have suffered. During a long legal battle, one’s mental health can suffer greatly.

In the event of an accident, it is critical to hold the driver responsible. When a large number of people have been killed as a result of someone else’s carelessness, holding the responsible party accountable is critical. Families who have lost loved ones can find solace in filing a wrongful death claim. This is great news for all Californians who drive.
