[06-09-2023] 3 Students Injured After Hit-and-Run Crash Involving Sedan and Schoolbus in HemetThree students were injured when a car struck their bus and fled the scene in a two-vehicle hit-and-run collision in Hemet on Friday afternoon, June 9, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the hit-and-run occurred on North Cawston Avenue, just off Highway 74, at around 12:30 p.m.

A Toyota Camry was fleeing a previous collision in a parking lot on Florida Avenue when it struck the Unified School District bus and, once again, fled the scene.

Hemet Fire Department personnel tended to three students who sustained minor injuries and transported them to a local hospital to be treated.

Alternative transportation was arranged for the other students on the bus.

There was no description of the suspect available.
