Mother and daughter were injured following a pedestrian crash near the Flower District, downtown Los Angeles, on Saturday morning, June 10, 2023.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the crash happened around 9:42 a.m. in the 900 block of South San Pedro Street.
A mother in her 50s and her daughter, about 14-15 years old, were hit after a pickup truck driver jumped the curb. Both victims sustained minor injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital.
Afterward, the driver struck a chainlink fence and other vehicles. It is unknown whether the pickup truck driver or other people were injured.
Reports say that the driver had a medical emergency. The authorities ruled the crash as an accident, and no arrests were made.
