[06-11-2022] San Diego County, CA - One Person Injured After an Electric Scooter Crash in La JollaAn unidentified 90-year-old man was killed following a fatal crash in La Jolla on Saturday afternoon, June 11, 2022.

According to the initial reports from local authorities, the deadly crash transpired at approximately 4:30 p.m. at 6600 La Jolla Boulevard.

The 90-year-old man was struck by an 80-year-old woman traveling on La Jolla Boulevard for unclear reasons.

The 90-year-old man was rushed to an area hospital for treatment, but unfortunately, he could not survive his injuries and was pronounced dead.

The driver that struck the motorcycle rider remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed.

An active investigation of the case is currently underway.
