[06-12-2022] Los Angeles County, CA - Two Women Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash Involving Stolen LAFD Ambulance in Panorama CityTwo women were injured after a stolen ambulance from the Los Angeles Fire Department crashed during a chase in Panorama City early Sunday morning, June 12, 2022.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the crash occurred around 2:10 a.m. in the 14500 block of West Chase Street.

The theft of an ambulance was reported to the Los Angeles Police Department, and it was tracked down to Panorama City, where police gave chase.

Officers pursued the ambulance for a short time before it collided with two other vehicles and struck a pole.

Two women in civilian vehicles were injured and taken to the hospital, according to police.

The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.

The driver of the stolen ambulance was apprehended at the scene and booked into the Van Nuys Jail.

Their identities have yet to be disclosed.

According to officials, no officers or firefighters were injured during the chase.
