One person was killed, and another was injured following a two-vehicle crash in East Central Fresno on Tuesday evening, June 13, 2023.
According to the Fresno Police Department, the collision occurred around 9:45 p.m. on McKinley and Helm avenues near Fresno Yosemite International Airport.
Authorities stated that a pickup truck struck a tree after colliding with another vehicle. Officers removed the driver, identified only as a man in his twenties, from the burning truck after the crash.
Officials said the man was rushed to a local hospital, where he later died, and a woman in the other vehicle was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Authorities have not yet identified the person who died, and no additional information regarding the collision has been released.
The investigation is ongoing; anyone with information is urged to contact authorities immediately.
