[06-13-2023] San Diego County, CA – Pedestrian Hospitalized Following Train Collision Near Hillcrest

A pedestrian was hospitalized following a train collision near Hillcrest, San Diego, on Tuesday evening, June 13, 2023.

According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, the collision happened around 7:48 p.m. at the Old Town Transit Station.

A Coaster train was heading northbound when it hit a nearby pedestrian. The victim was transported to UC San Diego Medical Center after sustaining injuries of an unknown extent.

The cause of the collision is still not determined. The authorities have not shared any further details.
